Anger Management Workshop

Seven 1-hour Modular Sessions

This training is a seven-step progressive series. Each one-day training session teaches skills and techniques for handling not only your own anger but also gives a myriad of tips and methods for dealing with anger in others. Dr. Walter focuses on identifying the underlying causes of an individual’s anger, as well as patterns, situations, and specific anger triggers that are unique to each person.

Attendees will then learn and practice a wide variety of different techniques for reducing anger responses. The techniques and skills taught in this class are distinctly unique multi-generational expertise and are based on skills and techniques from 25 years of experience in business, academic, ecclesiastical, and corporate communities. The training includes multiple group exercises and opportunities to learn how you can reduce your anger and control unhealthy responses.

  • Identifying the unique underlying causes of personal anger and the behavioral patterns that prompt angry responses
  • What anger is, and how it affects one’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being;
  • Anger in the home, workplace, classroom, and even the sacred place of faith;

  • Anger and chemical dependency;
  • Anger and racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual orientation related issues;
  • How to reduce the anger response:  Dealing with the memories of painful past events;

  • Turning negatives into positives:  Learning to use life’s experiences.

The Servant Leadership Model for Collegial Leaders Workshop

One Day Session

This lecture series is an exploration of contemporary, principled leadership. It will take as its theme “the virtues of leadership.” It approaches the study of servant leadership from the holistic perspective of integrity, ethics, and compassion. Becoming a good leader is the result of right choices, learned skills, and modeling positive behaviors that are nurtured through a developmental process of training. This information will help students become aware of the virtue and qualities that make good leaders and attempt to provide the students with information to emulate them.

Christology: The Duality of Jesus Christ Workshop

Course Length: 16 hours

This course will examine a field of study within Christian theology which is concerned with the dual natures of our Lord Jesus Christ called Christology. This course will include an exploration of the New Testament’s account of Jesus’ life. Particular attention will focus on the human and divine co-existing natures in the Godhead bodily manifestation. Although this study of the inter-relationship of these two natures is the foundation of Christology, some essential sub-topics will include the historiography of Christianity; post-Christian-modernity; and textual criticisms.

  • Increase Biblical knowledge of the two natures (deity and humanity) of Jesus;

The Excellent Entrepreneur Series

Course Length: Two Days

This leadership training project was designed to impart traditional business ideals and values. The information, however, is contemporary, practical, and very applicable for young business-minded professionals. This workshop will cover the essential areas that are required for a small business operation as well as the following: engaging in entrepreneurialism; Small Business planning; demographics; fundamentals of budget development; and management principles. A brief overview of practical staffing solutions for organizations with small budgets will also be discussed. Of course, paramount to the success of any business is effective leadership. Therefore, we will briefly discuss minimizing common barriers to effective “leadership” when considering the development of any enterprise.

Effective Resume Writing

Course Length: Half-Day

This workshop will assist participants in resume preparation for the 21st Century job search. In preparation for the workshop, participants are asked to bring an electronic and hard copy of their resume. Follow-up individual coaching sessions will be available.

  • Identify basic resume writing guidelines;
  • Target their resume to the requirements of specific jobs or job categories;

  • Explain the guidelines for constructing resumes that expedite electronic scanning; and
